Connected all ways, always

I've missed painting my crows. This one is a departure for me with the colorful background. The client mentioned wanting 2 crows at sunrise.  As I worked on the background I was led to allow the light of the rising sun to shine not just from the horizon line but also from above. Once the crows "arrived" the composition seemed to say to me that these beings are so much better connected to not just each other in this world but to other realms also. So much to learn, as always.  Measures 24 c 30" acrylic on gallery wrapped canvas, painted edges, ready to hang.
